It is a quality, stable oil rich in vitamins and minerals. It is rich in vitamins A and E, as well as beta-carotene and lycopene. In addition, it contains the antioxidants sitosterol and squalene, phenolic acid and flavonoids. Compared to other types of vegetable oils, palm contains about 50% of saturated fatty acids, 40% of monounsaturated and 10% of polyunsaturated fatty acids.
